Two fish represent the spirit of Agoueh; the ruling spirit of the sea, fish and other aquatic plants and animals, as well as the patron spirit of fisher-people and sailors. This spirit is known by several titles, including The Shell of the Sea, The Angel in the Mirror, and The Tadpole in the Pond.
