Pushing away from animal leather and into a more ethical and sustainable alternative, this garment is made up of shiringa — a plant based latex from the Hevea brasiliensis tree in the Peruvian Amazon. A process dating back to the 19th century where they apply warm, waterproof, and elastic material over a natural cotton cloth and smoke it until completely dry, achieving a clean look and comfortable feel equal to that of traditional animal leather. Cotton lined. Snap button and zip fly closure.
