Summer Sauna consists of humid japanese hinoki and burning cedar. Cooling eucalyptus. Wispy nuances of tulsi basil and shimmering olibanum incense.
Top Notes: Hinoki, Eucalyptus
Heart Notes: Olibanum, Tulsi, Lavender
Base: Cedarwood, Moss
"While most of my perfumes had
(somewhat) of a specific end goal in mind,
either a feeling I wanted to capture, or a singular
synergy of several molecules, Summer Sauna
was one of my first successful experiments in restraint.
At every stage it felt nearly finished, as if
the addition of each subsequent component might
break it. There's a particular harmony in the
sun-bleached fallen leaves effect of phenyl
propionaldehyde meeting hinoki, to the olibanum soaked
eucalyptus and green herb heart, the toasted carnation
feeling of methyl diantilis layered into amber rich molecules,
and the tender simplicity of a cedarwood and oakmoss
base. While it feels hopeful in the sticky heat of summer,
it’s truly at home on your skin anytime you want
to feel some warmth"
