The Suzuki Bolero is made of handwoven silk and cotton, brocaded by master embroiderer (zarduz) Mirshod Farmanov in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The art of arranging gold metal threads in parallel rows on a ground fabric, and then couching them with silk thread has a long history in Bukhara. Examples have been found dating back to the 7th century when the first gold mines were excavated. Once reserved for the clothes of the nobility, today the technique is used only for special occasions such as weddings. A brocaded wedding robe can take up to 3 years to make.

Features the label name "100% SILK" down the sleeves and a warped sun design on the back. Lined in lightweight silk.
