My Paper Doll House

Day after day I wake up my paper doll house
Colored walls and patterns that match my paper blouse
As I prepare my breakfast I sniff my painted flower vase
And dance around my ribbon room, which needs sprucing up again
Someone has put sighs in the air like dust on old curtains
And stars on the walls for a handful of light to keep me safe, for certain.
