Handmade mid length sleeveless dress with a ruffle detail strap and downward square plunging neck line. Pleats in Kuri is fully hand pleated and hand dyed using walnut, creating a beautiful brown colour as the base of the dress, with waves of hand painted patterning in dark brown throughout. Features individual one off details, including a cut out at mid hip with a light pink ruffle that wraps around the cut and leads upwards toward the neck.

Jennifer Laflamme is a textile and clothing designer based in Toronto. She was born in Japan, and grew up in Canada. Laflamme studied traditional natural dyeing and textiles in Japan to accompany her work in fashion design. She currently runs her textile studio Mifi Mifi in Toronto where she makes one of a kind pieces that are carefully hand-crafted using traditional textile dying and hand crafting techniques that are rooted in her cultural background.
