A culmination of a deep study into the world of scent by Story Mfg — one that was both surprising and exciting. They applied the same Story Mfg framework built for clothing to their first fragrances, working with slow, natural craft practices that extract rare scents, and designed and fabricated more eco and ethical solutions to industry-wide issues. The result is this unique study packaged in the most conscientious way possible.
Earth tone research is a study of the scent of the earth. This fragrance is built around Mitti Attar, an extract from broken and discarded clay tea vessels distilled with the same process and respect given to the finest roses. It takes its place among a chorus of earthy, powerful notes that harmoniously work together to create a gigantic sensory song.
Notes: Top: Cardamom, Bergamot, Rosemary, Elemi, Black Pepper, Maté. Heart: Fir Needle, Lavender, Geranium, Ginger Lily Root, Cypress, Black Tea, Temulawak (Javanese Ginger), Oakmoss. Base: Mitti Attar, Vetiver India, Patchouli, Benzoin, Wild Carrot Seed, Nargamotha (Cypriol).
Story MFG was born out of a desire for a more authentic, fulfilling and kind approach to fashion — one that doesn't involve a trade-off between aesthetics and consciousness. They are a husband and wife team and work with a large group of dyers, weavers, embroiderers, and tailors. Story MFG want to make things and choices that help change the fashion industry for the better and show that being considerate and kind (to people and the planet) is not only important but an enormous strength. They believe fashion can be a form of social activism and that Story MFG can help create a more positive future.

All objects, jewelry, underpinnings, printed matter and swimwear are final sale. Sale items and special orders are final sale. Promotional sale purchases (items purchased with a welcome code or a discount code) are available for exchange or store credit only.
We will exchange or refund all regular-priced clothing items if posted by trackable mail or courier within 4 days of receipt. The item must arrive to the shop within 14 days of posting. For refunds, you will be refunded the cost of the returned items at the time of purchase minus a return fee of $10.
