José Garcia Antonio
José Garcia Antonio uses clay from the ground of his native village San Antonio Del Castillo Velasco in Oaxaca, Mexico. Taking inspiration from nature, the image of his wife and figures in the Zapotec tradition, Garcia has been making his majestic terracotta figures for nearly fifty years. Although he is now nearly blind with cataracts, he continues to work daily.
